The main character if this story (from what I've read)is Frodo Baggins and his role in the book (again from what I've read)is to destroy a magical ring that has caused major problems before. The rings magic is so powerful that anyone wearing it will soon be obsessed with it and will not let it go as said in page 60 "A ring of power looks after itself, Frodo. It might slip of treacherously but the keeper never abandons it." Frodos characteristics as far as I've read is seems only to be curious. Frodo always asks questions whether its a small question or a question that can't be answered. From pages 60-67 he asks questions. A small question he asked was "But if he hated it, why didn't he get rid of it, or go away and leave it?" which was shortly answered by Gandalf, a wise wizard. But then he asks another question in page 67 in where Gandalf says, "Such questions cannot be answered." The main character in this book will be dynamic because of two things. One, he is going on an adventure with a magical ring in where he will experience many hardships and two, its the ring itself as it tries to take over Frodos body as said many times.
